mobilezone's strengths
mobilezone has real arguments in its favour:
- A complete mobility ecosystem. Its business homepage (accessed 18 September 2026) presents procurement and provisioning, a Device as a Service rental model, fleet and subscription management, Enterprise Mobility Management, repairs, certified data deletion and buyback programmes.
- Credit you can reinvest immediately. If you buy your next devices from mobilezone, the buyback value reduces the bill.
- Certified data deletion. According to IT Magazine (accessed 18 September 2026), certified data deletion has been built into the jusit refurbishment process for every returned device since June 2022.
- A price estimate from a list, which helps you budget before shipping anything.
For a company that already runs purchasing, subscriptions and device management through mobilezone, keeping the buyback in the same channel makes sense.
Where the offer stops for a full IT fleet
The limits lie in scope and in how the service works, not in its quality.
Laptops are not mentioned
The business buyback page refers to "devices" without listing them, and the business homepage describes central management of "smartphones and tablets". Laptops do not appear on either page. The consumer programme at buyback.mobilezone.ch (accessed 18 September 2026) lists phones, tablets and smartwatches and states that only Apple, Samsung and Google devices are currently bought back. That consumer restriction may not apply to business customers, so check it directly. If your refresh also frees up laptops, plan a separate laptop and IT equipment buyback or confirm with mobilezone first.
Broken devices, collection and payout timing: not stated
For business customers, the handling of damaged devices, on-site collection and the payout deadline are not stated on their public website. The page describes customers sending devices in for inspection. That is not a flaw in itself, but these are questions to put in writing before you start.
A model built around the next purchase
Reinvesting the value in new devices is an advantage if you buy from mobilezone. If you source elsewhere, or move to refurbished devices from another supplier, you will simply choose the payout.

Whichever provider you choose, three points deserve a written answer. First, scope: which device types and brands are accepted, and what happens to the rest. Second, proof of erasure: you need a certificate and an inventory by serial number, because that is what your data protection officer or auditor will ask for under the Swiss FADP. Third, timing: offer turnaround, collection method and payout deadline, so the cash flow of your refresh is predictable.
